Jeff Richie
Untitled Demo (CD-R)

Jeff Richie plays the type of singer-songwriter type fare that we've heard in a billion coffee houses around the world. If I seem a bit harsh, bear with me, I've just been up all night writing these little nuggets of wisdom you call reviews. Ok, so his voice is a decent approximation of klaxon sounding Bright Eyes twice removed from Mark Kozelek, but I just couldn't get into it. Trust me, I'm not kidding when I say I've heard a BILLION of these acoustic guitar singer songwriters. It's just hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. Another sticking point, where are the titles to the songs? No information in the package, forcing me to go look on the site, and then of course, I'm not sure which songs are which. I'm not a godamn mindreader. Sigh. Ok, so the third song was kind of interesting in it's double time drums and the fourth song had some pretty acoustic guitar, but since the TITLES are not with the CD I can't tell you the names of these, can I? Grrr...
